Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 24, 2025
1. Introduction
MessengInfo ("we", "our", "Service") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our company verification platform.
Beta Notice: The Service is currently in beta and may use mock, test, or incomplete data. Information returned by the Service is provided for informational purposes only and is not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or up to date. Always verify critical information independently and review our Terms of Service and Data Sources & Disclaimer for additional limitations.
Transportation / logistics notice: Any future logistics or carrier-related features will rely on open or otherwise permitted registries (for example, federal safety databases such as FMCSA/SAFER) and business-appropriate sources. We do not currently ingest or expose state DMV driver records or other “motor vehicle records” regulated under the Driver's Privacy Protection Act (DPPA), and we do not provide official MVRs or driver history reports.
2. Information We Collect
We collect minimal information necessary to provide the Service:
2.1. Account Information
- Email address (for account identification)
- User ID and authentication credentials
- Account creation date and activity timestamps
2.2. Usage Information
- Company verification queries (EIN or company name)
- Transaction history and credit balance
- API usage logs and request timestamps
- Error logs and performance metrics
2.3. Technical Information
- IP address (for security and rate limiting)
- Browser type and device information
- Request headers and API endpoints accessed
2.4. External Data Sources
To provide company and (in the future) logistics-related information, we may query external data sources such as public business registries, open government datasets, and federal safety databases (for example, FMCSA and related systems). For each report or export (including downloadable PDFs when available), we aim to include:
- A description of the primary data sources used (for example, "FMCSA carrier snapshot as of <date>")
- An "as of" timestamp indicating when the underlying data was last refreshed or retrieved
These source labels and timestamps are provided for transparency only and do not convert the report into an official DMV, MVR, or other regulated record.
3. How We Use Information
We use collected information for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain the Service
- To process company verification requests
- To manage credit balances and billing

4.3. Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.
