1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MessengInfo ("Service", "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

MessengInfo is a business and risk information platform that currently focuses on US company verification based on EIN (Employer Identification Number) or company name. Over time, the Service may also surface high-level logistics and transportation information (for example, carrier authority and safety context) derived from open registries.

• Company profile information (name, EIN, status)
• Risk scores and compliance indicators
• Officer and ownership information (where available in public records)
• Industry and founding date data
• High-level carrier or fleet information from open federal and state registries (when such features are enabled)

Important: The Service is currently in beta and may return mock or incomplete data. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any information provided through the Service, and we rely primarily on open registries and other permitted sources as described in our Data Sources & Disclaimer and Privacy Policy.

3. No Consumer Reports, MVRs, or Credit Scores

MessengInfo is NOT a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). The Service does not provide:

• Credit reports or credit scores
• Consumer reports for employment, credit, insurance, or housing decisions
• Motor vehicle reports (MVRs) or state DMV driver history reports
• Guarantees of business creditworthiness or financial standing

You may NOT use information from MessengInfo for purposes covered by the FCRA, including employment screening, credit decisions, insurance underwriting, or tenant screening.

DPPA / DMV notice: MessengInfo does not access or use state “motor vehicle records” in a way that would make it a provider of Driver's Privacy Protection Act (DPPA) regulated data or official MVRs. Any future logistics or vehicle-related features will rely on open or business-appropriate registries (for example, FMCSA and other safety databases) and will be offered for informational, non-FCRA, non-DPPA purposes only.

4. Fees and Credits

The Service operates on a credit-based payment model:

• Each company verification costs 1 credit ($1 USD)
• Credits are deducted immediately upon request completion
• Credits do not expire and remain in your account balance
• All fees are non-refundable except as specified in our Refund Policy

5. Use Restrictions

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of applicable laws
• Use the Service as a consumer reporting agency or to make FCRA-covered decisions
• Misrepresent or mischaracterize information obtained from the Service
• Resell or redistribute data obtained through the Service without authorization
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data beyond intended API usage
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers

6. Disclaimers and Limitations

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including:

• Accuracy, completeness, or reliability of information
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement of third-party rights
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation

Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, MessengInfo and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly.

7. Data Sources and Accuracy

Company information provided by the Service may come from:

• Public records and government databases
• Third-party data providers
• Mock or test data during beta phase

We do not verify or guarantee the accuracy of data from external sources. Information may be outdated, incomplete, or incorrect. Always verify critical information independently before making business decisions.

8. Account and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and API secrets. You agree to:

• Keep your credentials secure and not share them with third parties
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease immediately.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where MessengInfo operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
